No more dock connector audio after 2.1?

Did Apple decide to remove dock connector audio in 2.1? Maybe this is how they save some battery life? But I hate it! I used to listen to internet radio in my car via my Pioneer AVIC-D3's iPod connector plug.. I was able to hear anything I used on the iPhone (apps, games, etc.) through my stereo system but after 2.1 it's all muted... no audio.

Anybody else notice this?

I just tested this out on my Sony Alarm clock (ICF-C1IPMKII) and it's working like it did before 2.1. I just tested by firing up a game or two and the sound comes out of the speakers on the clock like always.

Hummm that's really odd.. Maybe my car stereo's settings got unintentionally changed.. i'll try it again when I head out for lunch.

I had the same problem when I put it on my logitech speakers.
Then after a few days it went away again. Maybe just because I did a power cycle?
