You don't need it anymore.
Apple has decided the future is "caseless" and its "courageous" for you to go without earbud protection.
Earphones? Case? What?
I had wondered what they would do with the lightning port in the current case... this is a bummer if it's the case though! (Pun totally intended )
One of the early reviews on YouTube. The headset packaging is so cheap.
Case of what? What earphone?
Early reviewers don't always get the full consumer packaging. Wait until they start shipping before calling foul.
Everyone who is confused he means the plastic box they currently are packaged in.
Just look at that
I found it impossible to get the EarPods back in the case anyway.
That case was a waste of plastic.
Only so much room in the box.. so like the headphone jack they had to do something.. eventually they'll eliminate the cables, power brick.. maybe even eliminate the phone.. why? Courage people.. Courage!
But being serious, they needed to change the packaging because they added the 3.5mm adapter and changed the headphones to lightning. More then likely if purchasing the headphones separately in stores, it will be in some sort of plastic casing.
Environmental friendly. Go Apple.
