iPod touch No more gold contacts

Anybody notice the headphone contacts on the iPod touch are no longer gold plated? Necessary for maximum audio quality 🙁 Talk about cutting corners.

Both gold/brass are more corrosion resistant than aluminum. Not everybody uses $3.00 earbuds.

Just clean them from time to time. Use some magnetic head cleaning fluid. It should get rid of the oxide layer, and thus, restore the audio quality.
