N NJRonbo macrumors 68040 Original poster Oct 18, 2021 #1 As someone who previously owned the i9 16" MBP and got my legs burned regularly from the heat... Am I to presume that even at maximum usage, the 16" Pro Max will not output the kind of heat (and noise) that the i9 Intel was infamous for?

mi7chy Suspended Oct 18, 2021 #3 It depends if they sink the heat into the chassis or not. With the MBA M1 they chose not to but it throttles about 34% under sustained load. The dual fans look rather large so general rule is the larger fan the greater the airflow with less whine. Reactions: NJRonbo
