Unless they've been selling out really fast, I've been checking the refurb site about every day to every other day and haven't seen any listed since Sept 25th.

There were some just a couple of weeks ago, but they were gone almost instantly.

It's sort of like trying to get a woot item :)

Most are being used as replacements...

If you bring a broken one under warranty in, they just exchange it for a refurb.

    You will hardly see any...

They do exist, they just sell out very quickly.

There were some listed on at least two days during Thanksgiving week. I missed the first day--they were sold out by the time I got to the online store--but bought one for my wife on the second day.

The online Apple Store has the 4 GB refurb model for $299 at the moment. If past experience is any indication, it will sell out quickly.

Thanks for the heads-up!! Just ordered it...

ETA: Then I cancelled...must've had a brain-fart--just realized it's only $100 less than a brand new 8GB model; kinda feel like I'd need to save more to buy a refurbed model w/ half the storage capacity...

I think it's a good deal if you don't need the space, and many people don't.

Of course, like I said above, I just ordered a 8 GB as a gift, for someone who totally doesn't need 8 GB (my mother). ha-ha.

Now they have 4 GB refurbs. argh!

I knew this would happen. Well, at least it will be in nicer packaging.
