No More LED Display Option?

I was looking at the custom configuration page for the 17-inch MacBook Pro, and the option to get an LED display is no longer there? Was it not popular enough to warrant continued manufacture?

Actually, I think all the currently shipping MBPs are LED backlit. So, the question becomes whether you want the standard or hi-res display.

I think there used to a $100 LED option, but maybe now all the high res ones are LED?

Wrong. The standard 1680 by 1050 17 inch is still CCFL backlit. To the thread starter just do yourself the favor and get the high res LED version.

Go and read where it says Display; it says all you need; only the 17" WSXGA+ panel is CCFL.
