The 2 week lead time makes a huge difference with availability. I can't imagine there being any supply issues for this launch other than the rose gold. My concern is going to be next year with all these people on the iPhone UP its going to be nuts. o_O

Going through Apple's site the 6s+ is not even available as an option to preorder and pick up in store for my area. Does this mean that they've just closed the in-store preorders/reservation or does it mean the stock for the store is depleted? In other words, will they have any additional stock for people showing up to wait in line to purchase or is the online store indicative of their complete stock and there will be none available outside those who already reserved?

I suspect no one will ever really know. But I wouldn't be surprised if some stock arrived in the next 2 weeks.

Also on the webpage it says in stores 25/9 which suggests it's available with out a pre order

Its possible as stores will get shipments daily so it could be possible that stores may get more 6S/6S+ shipment in this week and possibly add it to their inventory check. But from the looks of it, it looks like the online orders are 2-3 or even 3-4 weeks out so I would assume that the pre-order batch are out and the factory is still working to make more.

You can still show up just in case if someone decide not to take one and then it would be open for anyone up for grabs.

Given the fact that they are having an extra whole week this year, it means that they will have more control over quantity... I hope. I'm a guy that lives in Puerto Rico, meaning that we don't have an Apple Store and thus the option to get a store pick-up reservation. Pre-orders for me was a disaster last year and wanted to go for the adventure of getting early to the store. So yeah, I think there will be lines here at some of the carrier stores. What worries and has me questioning is the availability of models in-store on launch day. I'm aiming towards a 6S+ 64GB Rose Gold (tough luck, I know), if not, any other color will do.
