I'm not so much saying they were having problems, just that they needed time to ramp up their production. They were producing them in lower quantities, so they only made it available in a combination that would garner fewer orders. Apple is a business, they're not going to post anything on their store that will cause consumers to delay their purchase. Especially when they likely didn't even know what "soon" meant at the time. They likely didn't want to commit to any kind of timeline when it could have taken 6 months to get their process down, or 16. The one time they tried it in the past, with the white iPhone 4, they were burned badly. Any other retailer would have done the same.When the pre-orders went up the SB was listed with the link bracelet only. If Apple was having trouble with that model they could have simply put "Available Soon" under the description. Had I known the SB would be sold months later with the sport band I would have waited instead of getting the SS with Sport band.
