Greetings,

A company donated a nice G4-733 with many extras to our non-profit. I'm literate with PCs, but not Macs. Trying to get it in shape for sale. Figure out how to clean extensions, but then I got stuck on how to open the CD drive bay.

The solution, I thought, must be to depress the small button with a paper clip. Turns out that the little button is the programmer's key.

A window opened, that allows for typing. But, I can't use the mouse to open any menus. The pointer moves but that is all. There seems to be no way out. Powering down and up brings me to the same unhappy place - without mouse.

Any suggestions?
