Just watched the WWDC keynote and I noticed that when they mentioned the devices/support for the new Apple Music service that the Apple TV was NOT mentioned. So, the "best" in-home music/video device that Apple offers doesn't get updated for their "revolutionary" new Apple Music service.

One would hope that you could stream the service using AirPlay (via a Mac or iPhone/iPad), but this seems kind of a slap in the face for all those that were hoping for something new for the Apple TV at this year's WWDC (regardless of the rumors about no new hardware).

Except that those announcements came after the WWDC keynote and the Apple TV wasn't even mentioned during the actual event. When they made the announcement about support for Apple Music they said iPhone, iPod touch, iPad, and coming in the fall Android. Check out timecode 2:15:10 on the keynote, nada and zip about the Apple TV.

I wasn't questioning whether Apple Music would ever appear on the Apple TV (it would have to unless they were going to discontinue the product), it's just that Apple continues to treat the Apple TV as little more than an afterthought. In retrospect, this kind of makes all of the pre-WWDC "buzz" about a vastly enhanced Apple TV experience seem decidedly empty and misplaced.
