No new camera icon in messages

Hi,

Sorry if this has already been discussed. I have an iPhone 5 and downloaded ios8.

When I go to write a new message, I don't have the new camera icon to the right hand side. So I can't share location etc.

Any ideas? Thanks in advance

The Camera Icon is on the LEFT of the text field - not RIGHT...

Are you sure the person you are trying to text has iMessage?

Thanks - that was the issue. I tried someone else, who presumably has imessage, and the microphone (sorry, not camera) was on the right hand side.
