either way, we know its coming we just dont have a date.... so its WORSE not even saying they're going to do it or having specs. blind leadership sucks.
they already upgraded those a few months ago, we didnt NEED that update, we needed new minis and imacs 🙁

I disagree, it is part of the fun to be able to see it, but not touch it! Makes you appreciate it more when you do get it.

I was looking forward to seeing the new mac mini (buying it) and possibly a new imac... man am I disappointed! 🙁
It's like thinking you know what you are going to get for Christmas, waiting weeks... then opening up the present and your jaw drops when you see a sweater!

Another annoying thing, If I were to go a buy an iMac tomorrow I would have to still pay a small amount to get iLife 09 update.
1) The mac mini makes for a good burial ground for macbook parts and processors.
2) Many people buy them as HTPCs
3) They make pretty neat web servers... i.e. macminicolo.com. Good for non-critical or highly redundant setups on the cheap.
4) If I remember right - the last update was silent.

I sold my Mac Mini yesterday on Craigslist. I was LAUGHING LAUGHING LAUGHING at my awesome skills, and at the other guy for buying one the day before an update.

Given how strong the rumors seemed to be, I would think that there probably is one in the pipeline. Maybe it just wasn't quite yet ready for launch... I'll give it another couple of months before I give up.

I have nothing against the Mini, i think its a great machine and a wonderful option for those looking to get into OSX without paying the apple premium prices. It's just amusing that people have been crying for an update for 2 years now, and get dissapointed over and over again. sorry its just my sick sense of humor.

I had my old mini sold to my neighbor-but alas, I guess I won't complete the sale, at least not now.
While the evidence for a new mini seems compelling, the lack of even a mention of it may indeed spell the end.
Perhaps the software references to it were for internal use? Prototype unit never shipped to production?

SJ is the biggest egomaniac in the Valley. Is it so hard to believe that the Messiah didn't want Schiller stealing his thunder by announcing updated iMacs and minis?
SJ is brilliant at what he does. Yeah, he's an oddball, he's eccentric and more bullish than Fester (Ballmer) in some ways, but he is a primo CEO. He's iCEO. He works on praise, his brilliance spurns from the millions of puckered lips pressed tight against his butt cheeks. If Schiller got the cheers for announcing great products because he was down with some menial hormone imbalance ("Dude, I survived pancreatic cancer, maybe you've heard of it?"), he'd be pissed, n'est pas?
I can hold off my credit card for a little while longer. 😉

i am very disappointed in this keynote. i wanted that new mac mini for my room. i guess ill be fine with what i have. it just nice update my computers once in awhile.
