Anyone buying Beats headphones has no self respect. They're garbage headphones, mediocre sound quality and extremely overpriced.

Why would ANYONE buy them when for that money you could get an incredible pair of Sennheiser headphoes... ones that are wired and don't need constant charging either?

I'm sure these are quality, but for me, I require something more discreet. Looking forward to the EarPods in October.

I think in the end Apple will abandon beats and all those money paid for the company will be wasted.

Anyone who uses wired headphones has no self respect. Yes, I'm pointing out how stupid your argument is. People like different things and that's ok. I like convenience and sound like a club PA. Not everyone does. Get over it.

Unfortunately, you cant debate the fact that Beats headphones sound like trash and are priced as high as Sennheisers.

Not sure why you even bothered making that comment.

This.

It's just stupid the way they are, and not only because microUSB is the crappiest computer connector ever (dont know which is worst, that or the S-video miniDIN)

They should have made beats that recharge with lightning and that's it.

Then they should have come with lightning to lightning cable that you could use to play music directly powered by your iOS device (power + signal).

yeah, i wish my headphones could charge via lightning instead of microUSB.

i also think the latest beats releases are very telling as to why apple purchased beats.. they didn't buy beats for the headphones dept. ;)

the headphones are still entirely beats designs with no apple influence at all other than the wireless chip.. not meaning to downtalk the design because personally, i really like the physical design of the studios and think they're some of the sharpest looking headphones available..

i'm just saying that the people who designed beats prior to apple's acquisition are the same people doing it today.. j.Ive's clubhouse hasn't done anything with them and if they had, it's impossible they design/sell a product with microUSB on there ; )

maybe in the future, we'll see a little more influence from the apple designers which will get the headphones more in line with the mac and devices..

Maybe for your music. I have Sennheisers too! They aren't the best for old hardcore records from the 80s. I like the EQ beats does. You also would look silly working out with Sennheisers on. Don't be so closed minded.

But lightning charging is a MUST. Those USB ports are horrid.

really? that's the first thing you choose to post on the internet tonight?

like- "I'm going to go to a public forum in a topic where i know there will be a lot of people who buy beats.. And I'm going to tell a high percentage of my readers that they have no self respect !!!11!"

that sucks man.. sorry.

this is what they paid 3,000 million for:

.

The one thing I really prefer in Beats over the AirPods is that Beats you have different size tips. Or can replace it with comply foam tips. EarPods only ever stay in 1 of my ears and would always fall out of the other. While it looks better all smooth its functionally horrible for a decent percentage of users. But if they stay in I think I'll love AirPods.

You know - i never considered this Beats Studios.

Any thoughts on it?

I've demoed the Sennheiser Momentum 2.0 - i liked them very much and not very impressed with the noise cancellation. I also didnt find them very comfortable over my ears.

I just ordered the Bose Quiet Comfort 35's.

No where in my research did anyone suggest to buy Apple Beats Studios.

I bought them on sale for $189 at Target with price match on Amazon and had the target 5% credit card.

They sound really good but battery life kind of sucked.

The boss QC35 are ok. I'm personally looking at Senn PXC 550 as they review much better. There's no incentive to get the QC35 over 25.

Just cuz it's true it doesn't mean you have to like it.

lol.. so you just try to keep saying the same thing again using different words?
nice

here's something to think about.. next time you're off the internet and start wondering "why does life suck?" (for the millionth time)... realize this -> it's probably not life that sucks.

Haha cool story. Of course, that would be in your opinion. Oh and try not to trip over all those awesome cords you love.

they're wireless.
while you can use them wired if you really wanted to, i'm going to go ahead and assume nobody uses them that way ;)

I expect Beats will introduce an optional Lightning headphone cable. I also expect they will revamp their entire line to include USB-C charging cables as well at some point, possibly adding built-in DACs for optional digital use. One side is analogue, the other digital/charging.

So will Macs have a lightning port? How will we plug in our lightning headphones into the Mac?

I expect Apple will add Lightning ports to all of their Macs. Keep own mind they already make Mac peripherals with Lightning ports. Replacing the headphone jack on the rMB with Lightning also has a number of advantages, one of which is providing another optional data port and charging port which would keep the USB-C port free for use.

Well they do make a Lightning to micro USB adapters.

You use the word fact assuming you can will your claims into being so. You can't force your determinations of opinion into being fact just because you feel like it. I can debate your so called "fact", because I have used both. Keep your opinions just as they are, opinions.

Apart from BeatsX and Beats Pill+, there is no Beats product that feels like part of the premium Apple ecosystem. I literally had my wallet out at work ready to buy the Solo 3 when it was announced, only to find it had micro USB. I wonder if this, and the lack of Studio, was due to the internal shake-up of Beats employees at Apple.

If they ever do switch from mUSB, I'm betting they will go to USB-C before they go to lightning. Lightning is basically a proprietary port for iDevices. USB-C is going to be in Macs, PC's, and Android devices. It wouldn't make much sense to tie the only ecosystem agnostic accessory Apple sells to a proprietary port. I wouldn't even be surprised to see lightning to go the way of firewire. iDevices converting to USB-C in the near future is not out of the realm of possibility. The new macbooks most likely will be converted even sooner.

hmm.. maybe you're misunderstanding some.

it's not that i would necessarily want to be able to plug the headphones into a device using lightning (which, as you say, is probably possible to do with an adapter.).. if this was what i wanted to do, i'd use the 3.5mm on the headphones for plugging in the wire.. [edit] that said, i've not a single time plugged anything into that phone jack.. i got these things first and foremost because they're wireless ;) [/edit]

the wish is for charging the headphones.. i want to insert a lightning plug into the headphones in order to charge them.. beats currently charges using microUSB.. yes, i could probably use an adapter for this but it doesn't solve anything..

the gripe has to do with the human usage of the microUSB plug..
you know how with a USB plug, you have to try to put it in, realize it's the wrong way so you flip it over, then you realize it's the wrong way again so you flip it over once more to finally make the connection? third time's a charm.. well, with microUSB, it's more like fifth time's a charm ;)

it's tiny and in kind of a weird spot.. a lightning plug would be way better to use for charging.. plus, i would have one wire/plug to charge the phone and headphones instead of two.

as in, this is how they're set up currently :

I did a test run of Beats V new Bose last month and the new Bose is lights years ahead in sound and noise cancelling.

It was an interesting test as I tested them side by side at an Apple store and some of the staff joined the test. They all said the Bose sound was so much true to life and a lot better which surprised them all.

I can't believe people pay for this overpriced combination of plastic and foam junk. Marketing does work for truly abysmal things.
