Why do you think apple did not add these 2 native apps to the Apple watch

do you think they are not needed on the Apple watch ?

I use the notes app on my Mac & iPhone a lot , not the reminders

I could see the notes app being useful if you want to speak into the mic to save a text note real quick
And have it sync to Mac iPhone iPad

I think you can speak to Siri to add a reminder / note, and it will add that on your phone. I don't see any point in adding the same app onto the Watch, unless you wanted to navigate over all your reminders and notes on the Watch.

But if a reminder alarm goes off on iphone surely it will show up on apple watch? I use reminders a lot and have numerous repeat alarms etc

I think it should, since that's a form of notification.
