Maybe I am going to answer my own question here, but it seems that Safari does not support setting an option to use my Yubikey as a 2FA authentication method. Does not show it in the list as shown in my image.

Trying to setup my Yubikey for my Outlook account.

Is this the case that Safari does not support the use of Yubikey security keys?

Please advise.

Thanks

I can see Yes from the table for Safari for iOS and MacOS.

Don’t know what the issue is then.

I also have another laptop running Windows and Edge it does show up as an option.

I don’t think Safari supports this unless I’m doing something wrong.

Remember, I’m trying this under my Outlook account under add Additional Sign In methods but the add Security Key option is not showing as a selection.

Maybe someone else can try it?

I did but still same issue and I also tried with Edge with no accessories connected and the security key option came up.

I think Safari doesn’t support this option unless someone can test it using a Outlook account.

So the Microsoft accounts page will not support MacOS if you attempt to create or use a security key but as for non-Microsoft sites, it does.

For Office365 business accounts, I think that supports setting up a security key but not for consumer accounts.

For example, Zoho mail does support the use of my Yubikey with no issues on Safari running MacOS.
