About time!!!

Hey, it's nice for once that we Europeans get to see something live... usually, like this year's WWDC (Apple's biggest announcement in years) we have to wait for the post-event stream or follow the text commentaries from an attendee.

But hey, don't worry, we'll keep you all informed ;)

yeah, i think you can watch the older streams. just do a search, or try typing in the appropriate URL. i'm not sure where exactly you can find them though.

and for all the people calling Steve Jobs 'Steve-O' could you please just call him Steve? whenever Steve-O is mentioned i keep thinking about "The Horribly Gay Career Ending Footage of Steve-O". eewww... and that's something i don't want to be reminded about.

hopefully this means Apple will do something like they did with WWDC. then when they show it a couple of hours later they have time to edit out all the mishaps. ;) :p

like the digital camera! :p

i would wake up for it at 3am if it was live. i'll need to get ready for school t 5, so figure it's 2 hours, or even an hour and a half.

There goes......ummm....everything. Someone tell me I am wrong. I would love to be wrong.

P.S. Just thinking....does this mean no live stream, and following one will be available, or no stream period?

I don't think this is really significant. Only the select few Mac Faithful (meaning those reading this) would be the ones watching it at 3 am, not making it worth the trouble. I'm positive they'll make stream available later that day, no matter how minor the announcements made.

Yes but that was not a live stream. There has never been a live Paris stream that I remember. I do hope they archive one though, and if SJ is there, you can be sure they will.

Now the only question is can I avoid clicking on any Mac news sites before watching the video? No.

There was supposed to be a stream from Paris Expo to Seybold Seminars in SF in 2001, but they cancelled Paris Expo because of Sep. 11. I don't think that even counts as a cancelled stream as you are referring to a web stream.:D

he he. :D i never heard about that camera incident.

i also just found a nice shot of 'Steve-O'.

i doubt that Steve Jobs would staple his scrotum to his thigh, or would want to be mentioned in the same sentence as Steve-O. so please, no more Steve-O. too many bad memories! :p

lol about the steve-o

and the battery was dead:p
i thought they check these kind of things!
wouldnt it be funny if he forgets to turn the screens on and tries to play a new commercial?:p

Yeah, but they never edited it out. I saw it in the non-live QT stream later on. He's there playing with the camera for about three minutes and then chucks it right off stage.

Have there ever been live streams for any of the non-US events?

I can't recall seeing one for Tokyo, but my knowledge of Apple streams doesn't go that far back...

I'm not sure which keynotes have been live, as I watch most of them later anyway. I do believe the first iPod announcement was live, and I'm thought the iTMS keynote was too. Anyway, it doesn't really matter if it's not live. It doesn't matter at all to me cause I'm obviously not getting up at 3 in the morning to watch it. But even for those living outside the US, you can't wait a couple of hours to find out what happened? There'll most likely be live updates on the rumor sites anyway. MacRumors says they'll try to, or they'll link to another site that is. MacCentral always does live coverage too.
