Hey guys, I see there was some issues with seeing the recovery partition in Yosemite.. Had 2 issues, installed Yos on a machine with a clean install with a USB installer, when done NO recovery with option key on start up, I thought it was that the installer didn't install the recovery partition like mavericks did.. Then I picked up a brand new rMBP last night and before I went" back" to mavericks on that machine I started it up right out of the box, held down the option key and even on the brand new machine NO recovery partition with the option key on start up.. Is this normal? If I ever want to go back to yosemite on the new machine with the USB installer how do I get my recovery partition back on the SSD ? Thanks Guys.

Boot using Command R. That should show the recovery partition. Yosemite converts the HD to Core Storage and in doing so, it is removed from the usual option key boot.
