After booting to Recovery in macOS 27, it isn&t possible to change the Security level using the relevant menu. It produces an error to the tune of No Known User found (can't remember the actual wording). The only way to proceed is to check the high security box again.
Tried to set that lower security as an effort to get Sequoia installed using a USB installer disk, which also refuses to install to an empty Volume, errors out saying the target "disk must be erased" leaving two buttons, Erase Quit and nothing will work to install Sequoia while macOS is installed on a separate Volume.
I know it should be possible to dual boot those two systems, as it was working previously. Now only macOS is installed (long story there).
Reluctant to try erasing the entire SSD.

I had the same experience with GG as did the OP.

And, as bogdan suggests, I tried to disable SIP.
GG won't let me do that, either.

GG is on an external SSD, but I didn't have problems doing either of the above with Tahoe or any OS's "before".

Perhaps this is something that will be corrected in future betas.
Perhaps it's permanent.
Don't know.

The way that Apple is going with the Mac OS -- slowly but surely changing it into a computer version of iOS -- I can almost see both of these options disappearing in the future...

I have GG in a virtual machine. I could disable SIP, but it returned an error when I tried to enable it again. I rebooted and it worked. The Security menu worked without errors.
Maybe try again after a reboot and remember that it requires Internet connection to perform those actions.

Thanks for the replies to @bogdanw and @Fishrrman
No luck, and yes I've tried a reboot and have Wi-Fi and ethernet connection too. Later through an Anker 7-in-1 adapter which has USB-B ports, thus enabling USB Installer boot ups, no issue there, but the Sequoia install fails right after the 2nd Agree pop up, with an erroneous error message "No users found" (can't remember the exact wording).
May indeed have to wait until a later Beta arrives. Any idea how long that will be?
