I'm extremely disappointed that there's no new 15". I held out for a while just to see if they'll refresh it.

I can get a maxed out 15 with 1TB drive and 2.8GHz on ebay for 2699. I'm thinking about pulling the trigger.

Should I wait even longer to replace my mid 2009 15" MBP?

I was in the same situation and have long been waiting for a refreshed 15".

Seeing the Apple price increases in Europe, I finally bought a 2014 15" last night from a 3rd party retailer (came to €1910, the 10 March 2015 Apple price for same device is €2800).

Even if Apple was selling a refreshed 15", I am not sure I could justify that level of a price difference.

As has been pointed out ad nauseum, there are no suitable Broadwell chips available for the 15" yet. When they are available, Apple will update the 15" models. That's probably mid to late summer.

As always, if you NEED one now, buy it now.

seems like a similar discount to what ill get it for, 2699 vs 3199. might as well pull the trigger

I would wait. When the new one is out you'll feel bad but only if it's been a short time. If it's a year + later but now b
