Hi there

I wanted to give my Bootcamp partition more space. In the past it was easy to do with the Bootcamp assistant. But that feature is gone?

Or is it because of APFS (+ FileVault encryption) and can't resize partitions easily anymore?

This is the screenshot I'm getting when launching Bootcamp assistant. See below. Doesn't show my Bootcamp partition and all I can do is "Restore Disk to a Single Volume".

How can I resize partition without deleting anything? Even possible? I looked in Disk Utility but all I can do is create a new empty additional partition but not assign more space to Bootcamp.

Take a look at "CampTune" by Paragon Software. Check the documentation closely to make sure that it will work with APFS and FileVault. I know it works with Macs formatted to HFS+ for resizing Boot Camp partitions non-destructively.

I just tried CampTune but for some reason I can only increase max 4GB to Bootcamp. Everything else is locked.

I wonder why that is?

Can't be APFS or FileVault as CampTune supports both.

I also don't get it why Apple's own Bootcamp Assistant is not able to do this. WTF Apple.

And it's not clear to me how in High Sierra and these new Macs versions of Bootcamp we can safely delete the Bootcamp partition?

Is it the Bootcamp Assistant above and "Restore Disk to a Single Volume"? But doing so will not result in erasing the entire hard-drive & macOS data?
