My mbp has been doing this to me ever since I pressed the power button for the first time. Basically, when the trackpad is left alone for a little while it (occasionally) doesn't respond to my finger movements at all for about 5 seconds, which is huge pain in backside since this happens several times a day (depending on usage). *actually happened while I was typing this*
This is just one of the few nagging problems with my new mbp: some programs will not respond the the first key press (ie space whislt watching movie in QT), the remote having a long lag (sometimes not responsding at all).
These problems might all be related somehow, since they only occur after you haven't used that particular input/interface for a while.
