I'm posting this for a friend:
Last night, I was trying to help my friend install Leopard onto his Powerbook. His optical drive is busted so we tried the iPod method of installation. I made a dmg file of my Leopard disc and saved it to my external drive. When we went to Restore the image onto the iPod, the Restore option was nowhere to be found.
Following these instructions, http://lifehacker.com/338574/install-leopard-with-your-ipod, I was still unable to get the Restore option to appear.
What am I missing here? I tried googling for an answer, but came up empty. I'm hoping someone can help me out here. 🙁
