You don't need screen protector. If you put one on you screen will look like crap, might as well not have retina display and go back to 1st gen iphone. People that scratch the screen are idiots who don't know how to take care of gadgets.

This arrogant jerk will have a scratch within a week... haha j/k bro.

Anyway, as for me I will apply the best skins ever i ordered for $8, and as soon as it gives me problems or peels up on the sides, or looks worse then a few scratches, THEN I will try to go naked screen. I have a iFrogz lean case on too.

I had a 3G without a case for almost two years and didn't get any scratches on it.

haha...I've had every iphone from last 3 generations....no scratches on the screen.

I would also beware of sand, like at the beach. I had my iPhone 4 at the beach this past Monday to listen to music and even though I was very careful to keep it sand-free, I ended up with a very very very minor hair line scratch. I'm talking barely perceptible unless you angle the screen just right in direct sunlight, but it did happen. Makes sense since most sand is just glass, and pretty hard.

+1
i had the attitude, of, ive never gotten scratches, why not just try it without a screen protector... it took me less than 24 hours to learn that lesson...

professional beach bum here. i had a perfect refurb'd 3GS, it was one day old. i spend a ton of time at the beach, im careful about having sand in my pockets ect, all my iphones always spend time at the beach and ive never had a problem (and board shorts pockets allow for sand to drop through)... i even had the phone inside a waterproof case, that was a sealed bag, that allowed plenty of room and i did my very best make sure the case was clean inside. there must have been one grain of sand in there, and got a hairline scratch that you can see only when the screens on. its really annoying. 2cm long scratch, in the shape of a C

use a screen protector... its not worth the hassle not too...

I'll personally be using one on my iPhone 4 when they come out in Canada. My 3G has some significant scratches on it which have been driving me crazy since they appeared.

I had an Invisible Shield on mine, but the edges came up after trying to put my iFrogz case on it. So, I took it off and I am screen protector free. That might change in the future. But, for now, I am liking the naked screen.

... getting out of my Raptor truck and it went down the driveway.

theres a fine line between taking good care of your stuff and going about living your life at the same time...

okay i'll stop posting on this thread... promise

Are you seriously positing that you got a hard scratch while carrying your phone in your pocket, hand, or from a cloth? I don't even think a piece of candy would be scratched from that....

well to the best of my knowledge, that is all that ever contacted my phone. And it never left my side. So I'm lost as to where the damage could have come from

I have had the 3G, 3GS and now iPhone 4. I have never put a screen protector on and have never had an issue with it. Why would you want to put a cloudy piece of plastic on an otherwise beautiful screen?

Too many stories already. 3GS never put anything on glass, sold it pristine. Too many reports and a Best Skins Ever is now on and offers no downside.

Excellent product.

Other than the orange-peel?

I think I'll just go naked and enjoy it in its full glory. If hairline scratches get to the point that I notice them, I'll use protectors on the front and back.

There are options other than the regular orange-peel screen skins. I hate those myself. There are plenty of companies that offer static-cling screen films that don't interfere with the screen's clarity-- most people are waiting for the crystal version of Power Support's.

Actually it is in Tuxedo Black w/NO graphics pkg. I got the nav, luxury pkg, and rear view cam. Its got the 5.4l. Very nice truck and was able to get a decent deal on it. There aren't many available I guess. I use to drive a 2005 Nissan NISMO so it was time to step it up even though that NISMO gave me 0 probs in 5yrs!

Butterfinger I am not! But for whatever reason maybe its reading too many things here it slipped out of my hand getting out of my truck. It does ride high and I'm still not use to it but geez...

I just took off my IS. It looks good or so for a week after you put it on. Then it begins to wear down slowly but surely. I felt like it took away from the screen. I keep my iPhone in a holster anyway. I'm waiting on my case to arrive that I just ordered today.

Screen protector is a must

When I got me and my gf got our new iPhone 4s we didn't have any screen protectors on them at first and then her phone got small scratches by the ear hole speaker due to her earrings scartching on it. Now we got bse full body skins and bumpers

uhhg this happened to me too, just a regular screen protector though not an IS... do a lot of cases have this problem? not sure if its how the ifrogz case slides on or what... when i push the two pieces together the screen protector buckles up :(

so now i'm naked and nervous :( ... er well my screen is anyway
