Hi everyone hope you're all well. I've got an M1 Max MacBook Pro but in Safari I see no scroll bars. I've gone into system preferences and enabled them but I just get a bar to the right that works but the indicator that you can drag is invisible. Is this a known problem? It works fine in Opera and Chrome but not Safari.

Cheers

I'll offer something to try:

1. Download the free utility "Mountain Tweaks" from here:
(even though this is an old app, it still runs on the new m1pro MacBook Pros, although all the features may not activate)

2. Click on the "Lion Tweaks" tab above.

3. Locate "Enable permanent scrollbars" in the list below and click "yes".

4. Quit Mountain Tweaks.

You will need to quit Safari and re-open it.
Does this work? (please come back and tell us)

There are a lot of different options in Mountain Tweaks.
It might be worth trying a few others...

Thanks for that. One thing I noticed today is it only seems to happen if I use an external monitor. With the internal screen only the bars appear!
