My wife's I phone 7 plus at times will show no sim card can't figure it out any idea? All the updates are current.

Tried a replacement sim? Was the phone ever dropped? Exposed to moisture?

If a new SIM doesn't solve the problem, take it to the Apple Store for diagnosis.

none of the above phone is less than a year old, I guess to apple store we go
