Over the past week, I have been getting more frequent "no sim installed" messages on my iP4. Was 4.2.1/ 1.59.00. Update baseband and ios to 4.3.2. Same error. Went to ATT and replaced sim.....same error. Called Apple, and they said no prob, We'll ship you one out for Monday. Now my question: I recieved my shipping notice that included the serial number. I wanted to find out when it was manufactured, and if it was a refurb. I went to this sight: http://www.chipmunk.nl/klantenservice/applemodel.html and here is what it said: Serial number: J91090AxA4T Name: iPhone 4 (GSM - UMTS) Model: iphone_4 Group1: iPhone Group2: Generation: 4 ModelCode: iphone_4 Model introduced: 2010 Production year: 2011 Production week: 09 (March) Production number: 349 (within this week) introduced test: 2010 (0) 2 introduced test: GOED CPU speed: 1.0GHz Family name: A1332 Screen size: 3.5 inch Screen resolution: 940x640 pixels Colour: Black Capacity: 32GB Factory: J9 Please tell us where this machine is manufactured. I have googled and Binged the heck out of it, and can't figure out what the J9 means. Supposed to be sight of manufactured, but darned if I can figure out where J9 means. Hope someone knows, as I am a curious type. Good that it a fresh build, and not some lemon. (i know, Apple refurbs are great, but factory new is COOL!
