No SIM error

I've had my iphone 4 since it was released, and on average every week or so I've had a problem where my phone will suddenly say, "No SIM inserted" and the cell data won't work. If I restart the phone it usually fixes it. I've heard others have experienced similar problems.

My question for anyone that knows about this problem is is it a problem with the SIM card or the phone itself?

first take the sim card out make sure clean and snug fit instructions http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1438

then make sure airplane mode is off tell me how it goes.

No Sim error

Had same problem. Took to ATT and got a new simcard, still had the problem. Took phone to Apple store and they replaced it. Haven't had the problem since. I would return the phone.
