Hello,
I've noticed that my Macbook 13'' (late 2013) sometimes has no sound after using it from sleep mode and I have to restart to recover the sound.
I've heard that it might be related to Mavericks. Anyone else with the issue and another solution except for restarting?
Thanks!

I'd give it some coffee :p

If that doesn't work I'd reinstall (no you won't loose data)

I had a weird static coming through the audio line once, following sleep. A restart fixed it.

Hasn't returned since, following dozens more sleep sessions.

dozens of times

I found that if I unplug the cable to the speaker before putting it to sleep, everything is fine

I also have the sleep wake error when I plug in an external hard drive before putting the machine to sleep

try plug your headphones in the audiojack and unplug it, sometimes the mac thinks that the headphone is still plugged in after sleep. (it worked for me on my rMBP late 2013)
