No Sound Airplay

I have my macbook pro retina connected to my apple tv, the video shows up, however the audio is not playing through my TV. I choose the sound output for apple tv and it is selected but still no sound will play through. Any other suggestions.

Reset the AppleTV (down + menu until light flashes rapidly) and restart the Mac.

I have that happen on occasion and that has always fixed it.
