No Sound Coming from Apps in iPhone 6?

I installed a game, Modern Combat 3 because its the most favorite game of a friend of mine, but there is no audio at all coming out of the device. Is this normal? If not, how do I adjust it? I can listen to music fine on the device. Is this some kind of defect? Are any of you guys experiencing this? Note that I am not plugging any earphones or headphones into the phone.

Is the Mute button just above the Volume keys engaged?

I second that- check to see if the profile switcher is orange or not above the volume buttons
