I have been having issues since last night with notification on the watch. I am not getting a sound and I am not get a vibration. I checked DND and everything else I can think of. Does anyone know what I need to do?

Same here. Not only not feeling the haptic but the watch makes no sound when an email comes in. My phone notifies me an email has arrived and when I look at my watch the tiny red dot is not even there much less a notification.

Am going to try a reset and reboot my iPhone also.

I've seen this occasionally. Usually restarting one or both of the devices will fix this.

Put the Watch in airplane mode, but not the iPhone. Then note if the iPhone makes a sound and a banner is displayed -- if you don't have sounds configured on the iPhone, then the watch will only display a dot, it will not alert with haptic or chime.

If the iPhone does both, then disable airplane mode and test again.

I concur with the other responses here. I had the same issue on day 2 after I got my watch. One quick reset of the watch and it's been perfect ever since. I haven't found it necessary to turn on the prominent haptic though you could experiment with that if maybe you're just missing the notification because you're not used to it yet.

Thanks guys for the responses. It seems like it was the Gmail app causing the issues, so I just had my gmail emails forward to an email account in the mail app. Everything is working great now. I love this watch. I have had the Pebble, Pebble steel, and Moto 360. The 360 is really good, but the Apple watch integration with the iPhone is like no other.

Good to hear. I came from a pebble too like you said the iPhone integration is really what seals the deal.

Yeah. There is just not a smartwatch that works this well with a phone. I think android wear could be similar, but it's not nearly as integrated as the AW.

Check your settings to see if banners are turned on for email messages, you won't get notified unless they are.

Mine is set to give banners on emails only from VIPs so I get them from SWMBO, other family members and the exec that I report to.. everybody else can wait a little :)
