No Sound sending e-mails

When I send e-mails from  Mail I can't hear it go as I used to there is silence all over. Nothing is checked in notification , , so I wonder if anyone knows the answer. please (incoming mail is ok)

In the mail preferences, under the general tab, make sure the check box for "play sounds for other mail actions" is checked.
