I have a 2009 Honda Accord LX with an auxiliary port. When I use a Griffin audio cable to hook up my iPhone 5, switch on AUX on my stereo, I get no sound. I tried to hook up my iPod touch (one notch below the latest generation iPod touch) and that works.

I asked the stereo technician at Best Buy and he said to talk to my Honda dealer. I talk to my Honda service tech, and he didn't know what to do about it and told me to arrange an appointment. I rather see if anyone knows how to troubleshoot this instead of me getting an expensive solution. Anyone?

Found the solution to my problem. I just replaced the cable with a thinner Belkin cable and it worked. I have the iPhone 5 in a Otterbox, which also made it harder for the cable to completely hook up into the headphone jack. So apparently the main problem was that the cable wasn't in all the way.
