no sound .....y??/???

Hi...
i had recorded two short videos on my friends phone....
but when i play the video.... only video is coming without any sound....
however suprsingly when i uploaded on facebook... then the sound comes like normal.....
also my friend has the same video/... it plays with sound in his windows PC....
so y cant my MBP play the video with the sound....
i have tried VLC player also... still dosent work.... converted the video into mp4 with isquint... still no sound... can any one help me plz.....

Probably using some sound codec you don't have. Find out what codec it uses and see if you can get it.

Okay, this is really over simplified and not exactly accurate but you can think of it like a language. Your computer doesn't know how to speak a certain language so you need to go get it a book so it can learn how to read it.

I'd ask your PC friend to tell you want codec it is using and then search the internet to see if it is available for mac.

If your on a mac make sure you install perian, this will allow QT to play almost every file.

instaled perian... but still no sound.... really suprising as there is sound whil playing on facebook....

Oh, woops... uh, maybe try MPlayer.

is there no other solution????? they are important videos for me... thats y i am so bothered,,,

tried Mplayer also.......still no luck...never had such a problem before
