No Sound?!?

Hello,
For some reason my Mac is not playing any sound. It chimes on Startup and the sound works in my other Mac OS X Partition. The sound also works when I go to Audio MIDI Setup and click "Configure Speakers" in the Output section. I tried resetting the PRAM, but it is not helping... Any Ideas?
