I would like a tweak that eliminates the status bar and the only way to see it is to pull down the NC or open the app switcher.

Does anybody know of a tweak like this?

I've always wanted a tweak like this too. I would love a clean springboard that only showed my wallpaper and nothing else.

Unfortunately I think the only way for me to get rid of the translucent bar across the top would be winterboard anyway, so I would have to download two tweaks =/

But it still would be interesting to know if a tweak exists to get rid of the status bar on the springboard.

I would like to remove it all together and only have it show when the NC is pulled down.

DockHide has a feature that also allows you to hide the status bar. I use it along with Gridlock to keep my main screen clutter free. You can still see the status bar with the NC pull down or with a designated gesture to bring the dock/status bar back.

But I like my dock. 🙁

It's called NoStatus. On Cydia. It's a free tweak. You set it up in Settings/NoStatus to make the status bar disappear with a gesture. I use double tapping on the status bar.

Sometimes it will still show up. If that happens simply sleep/wake and it will be gone.

You're welcome.

There is no way to set it to start off with no status bar?

Unfortunately, no.

I've tried this, and it doesn't seem to work with the springboard, only apps. Maybe it will work in conjunction with NoStatus.... I'm going to give it a whirl.

No Status and Maximization do work together. Cool.

This is great. These are working together and now I only see my status bar when I want to.

Thanks guys. Love this forum.

I just ran these two tweaks for a day and my battery took a major hit. I only got 4hours of usage before I got the 20 % alert
