No text notifications in CarPlay after upgrading to iOS 26

After I upgraded my iPhone 16 Pro to iOS 26, I’m no longer getting text message alerts when my phone is connected and using CarPlay.

Is anyone else seeing this issue? I’ve hunted around in settings for a way to enable notifications for messages in CarPlay, but I don’t see anything obvious.

Same! I thought I was losing my mind the other day driving. I look at my phone and see a bunch of text notifications but don't remember hearing the notification sound or seeing the pop-up on my CarPlay display.

I really hope this is something they address in 26.0.1 rather quickly. Pretty annoying.
