no top row

I have already posted a question about BLISS WEATHER HD but I also need help with finding a way to either have a blank home page with just the dock icons or a way to eliminate the top row of icons. Does anyone have an easy solution?

Gridlock, or the free way would be to install something like iBlank

OK I got gridlock but if i re-spring or turn my phone on and off the icons go back to the first screen. Ideas>?

I don't knw anything about gridlock, but I second iblank for this. Simple but effective.
