No Trim for Vertex 3 240G ?

I have just added a OCZ Vertex 3 240G SSD (as a boot drive) to my iMac 27" i7, but I found there is no Trim enabled.
My Mac OS X is 10.6.8 with all software updated from Apple.
For 10.6.8, do I still need enabler to enable Trim ? 😕

Unfortunately even under 10.6.8 you still have to use the TRIM enabler if your not using an apple SSD.
