No undocked icon labels 4.2.1

This does not work on my iPad. It just makes the icons transparent grey. Is there a workaround?

It makes my Maps icon the gray color, haven't had any problems with the other ones

It's weird undocked icon labels does not work. All it does is make my labels grey.

same here, currently have 4.2.1 JB w/ GP. The no docked icon labels works but not the undocked.

any solutions?😕
