iPod touch No update to iPod touch at WWDC?

I haven't seen any update to iPod touch, has anyone seen any news from WWDC? Thanks
 
3.0 will be available to iPod Touch users through the iTunes store connection for $9.99.

"The Tablet" is a mythical device that has been promised but never delivered for years.

I believe it is a practical joke that Apple R&D "leaks" to the rumor sites for their own amusement.

You would do well to ignore tablet rumors.

Aww, I naively thought the iPod Touch might be included in this round of updates. Then again, seeing as how they updated every other portable device, I guess that would have been a bit much.

I suppose they will push the last gen Touches out the door as fast as they can with the student purchase plan, and release the new hotness when that offer has expired. I guess I can wait until September... at least I'll get the 3.0 software preloaded for "free".
 
I think it will comes out in late june

When Jobs returns
it will be some kind of celebration
and this will be great chance to release the new itouch

What update could they make to the new itouch? Different shape, system, more functionality? I really want to get one now, but I guess the wait will pay off in the end
 
likely faster processors

may be add the compass or even a camera
just guessing
 
new ipod Touch and GPS

I wonder if the new Ipod TOuch will have the same GPS and TomTom capabilities as the new iPhone.. is there a GPS chip in the current iPodTouch that will make the TomTom software work after upgrading with iPhone OS 3.0 ???
 
I'm just putting in the wait for the extra memory. I can't afford the 16gb right now, but I will soon :]

There's no GPS or BT in any of the Touch. The current Touch can use triangulated wifi for "gps-like" capability.

After wwdc it's almost sure compass 64 GB since 32Gb Iphone

Better battery life since same thing happened with the iphone

mic since 3.0 adds recording and also the voice command will be available on the 3rd gen ipt

Maybe bad res camera like 1.5 mp since the iphone 3GS got a 3.2 it think or something like that
 
I got sucked into the rumor hype, I guess.
I thought for sure we'd see an iPod Touch rev today.
However, that's indeed something that doesn't typically happen until fall.

Dangit.. I was all excited and ready to buy one, too.

That's exactly what they do. They clear out their stock and stop the promotion like a week before their iPod event.

who said it's coming preloaded on the 3rd gen iPod Touches? when the 2nd gen iPod Touches were first released, they came preloaded with 1.1.5 and you still had to buy 2.0 (they might still do this but i'm not sure) so it will probably go the same with the 3rd gen iPod Touch.

sorry, that's wrong^. i got confused about when people bought a 1st gen after 2.0 and complained about it being on 1.1.5.

They are now but when they were first released didn't they come with 1.1.5? I'm like 60% sure they did because I thought I remembered people complaining about it on here because. But I could be wrong and if I am I do apologize.
