iPod touch No update to iPod touch at WWDC?

They are now but when they were first released didn't they come with 1.1.5? I'm like 60% sure they did because I thought I remembered people complaining about it on here because. But I could be wrong and if I am I do apologize.

Nope. I bought mine withing two weeks of being released and it had 2.x.

I'm pretty sure I'm right because steve jobs on the keynote said that with the ipod touch came a new release of the OS 2.1

I think your confused because the first gen even after the 2.0 was available were still shipping with 1.1.5

i was confused. the complaining i was remembering was from people buying a 1st gen and being on 1.1.5. sorry

iPods are usually refreshed at music events during the fall.

Second Gen iPod touches came preloaded with the 2.1.1 firmware (a special release of the firmware for that Touch). I know this as I bought mine the week they came out and this is what mine came with.
