No upgrade for o2 iphone customers

I've just been told by o2 customer services that there will not be any upgrade to 3gs 😡option for 3g owners this time around unlike last years offer.

this means we will all have to wait until at least december for an upgrade.

anyone else been told this or anything different?

Yeah, there are already a couple of threads about this exact subject on the forum...

Why not just take out a new contract, as a new customer?
If you want the phone that badly, it's another option for you to consider.
