Carrier No Verizon trade-in deal for iPhone 18 Pro this time???

I see AT&T and T-Mobile offering $1,200 trade-in deals when “getting ready” but no Verizon. Is this a first? Verizon is actually not matching the deals? Or could they possibly still add theirs in a day or two?

I find it hard to believe Verizon would just skip out on the deals this time when the other two are doing deals. I’ve been hunting for the Verizon deals myself and haven’t found anything anywhere.

For what it’s worth, their own website doesn’t have anything but a static image saying the 18 Pro is coming soon, so it kinda just seems like they weren’t ready for some reason.

Hopefully we’ll see something by tomorrow.

I may just stop messing with the carrier upgrades and go through apple. Usually you get more money through the carriers, but I dontike how those come as credit over 36 months, so you loose out on a lot if you want to upgrade early. Sweet spot in trade in value seems to be 1-2 year old. Plus, going through apple, you aren't so locked in if you do want to move carriers

You don’t have to pay off the phone to upgrade early. You just alternate how you upgrade. Last year, I got the iPhone Air with Verizon installments and got the phone for free with bill credits. This year, I’ll get the 18 Pro with Apple Card installments and a regular trade-in.

It’s not a contract. They will credit you $1200 over 36 months as long as you do not upgrade your phone again in that time frame, or switch phone plans.

Currently on Verizon website, they're offering $830 trade in on the iphone 17 pro/max for my 15 pro max. Not sure if this will carry over to the new phones though. I assume so though.

Well I’m not technically paying for the Air since the bill credits equal the monthly installment for the phone, but yes, you would want to keep the installments going so you keep the bill credits. I’m not sure yet if I’m going to trade the Air in to Apple or an older phone. Usually my dad gets my phone when I upgrade, and I trade in an older phone. Last year, I believe I traded in a 13 Pro for the Air, not the 16 Pro.

I may have to change my strategy next time I upgrade via Verizon installments in a year or two however, since Verizon now locks the phone until installments are paid off, which they did not do until recently.

Siri AI found me an article posted today from Android Authority that says Verizon will be offering the $1200 in bill credits for new lines only. Upgrades will get $1020. Still can’t find anything directly from Verizon or Apple.

It’s posted on Apple now. $1020 is only for ultimate ultimate customers. Ultimate plus plans only get a $660 trade in credit. Shameless by Verizon.

$1020 for upgrades is disappointing considering the other carriers are offering $1200 for upgrades as well (depending on the phone traded in and the plan).

I fully expected the best trade-in offer to only be for the highest plans, so that’s no surprise there. Pretty sure the other carriers do the same.
