I've got a flashed XFX Radeon HD 4870. Works great in Windows. In OS X, VLC doesn't show any video. And even Preview wont display images. And I don't know where to start on fixing this issue.

Zeus driver check says Quartz Driver Installed: NO.
OS X 10.6.4 with graphics update.

Soooo still having the same issue. No video in VLC, preview doesn't show images, and expose features are laggy. And I'm still switching to Windows to play Starcraft.

I reinstalled 10.6 yesterday. I got video in VLC and expose wasn't laggy. Woohoo right? But then I updated to 10.6.4 (not the graphics update) and all the problems came back. I'm not sure what to do. Before I had Zeus installed and I tried installing the QE_CI_Exotic but that didn't fix the issue.

Hi there,
Have you tried installing keita's patch for 4870 cards?

Install it, reboot and install again (yeah, twice) I think this should work!

Thanks rarz! I finally got around to installing that patch. Speed is greatly improved. Starcraft is definitely graphically glitchy though. I think I'll just keep playing on the Windows side.
