no visual voicmail in japan??

so I can't seem to get visual voice mail to work. When I click on the voicemail tab it just calls it. Anyone else have this prob?

If it makes you feel better, no one has left me a voicemail since i got my on saturday and I technically don't know if it works yet either.

you could always test it out yourself.. 😉
you know.. call your mobile from another line perhaps? Or get someone to leave you a voicemail..

at least then you'll know if it works or not 😀

Are you roaming in Japan? I think if you have EDGE Roaming turned off then it wont work.

sorry i will clarify, i am stationed here in japan and just got my 3G. I had the 1.0iphone since day one, hints the "miss it" part. i know that on the old iphone if you press the voicemail tab, even without having voicemails, that it would take you to an empty visual voicemail screen. I received a voicemail the other day which is how i found out that the visual part wasn't working.

o and he is right, 3G is everywhere here and is the lowest speed internet that we can get on cellphones

any idea on how much this costs?
