No voice on purchased movies

Apple TV - voices are almost mute on purchased movies and TV shows. Music and sound effects seem ok. Occasional voices can be heard.
Previews of movies are ok. Other apps seem to have no problem with voices.
Reset box - no help.
Other Apple TV works fine.

Any suggestions?

turn off dolby digital.

the voice is on the center channel.

previews are in stereo

That was it. No idea how it got turned on.

the recent software update did something screwy, it either fixed something that caused dolby to start working, or changed a setting when it installed.
You are not the first with this problem in the last couple weeks
