5-10% sounds about right to me as well. Sadly that does amount to only "slightly" faster.

10% is a nice speed bump. What do you expect, 20-25% each update? Really?

A performance bump of ~9% every three months is equivalent to projections that integrated circuits double in performance every two years.

I expect such a performance boost from an architecture update and not just the usually speed bumps.

Remember Netburst to Core 2 and the decimation of the Athlon 64? That was just two years ago.
