Just saw the keynote and noticed that there was no white silicone case shown for the new phones. Thought it was odd, so I checked apple.com when it rebooted, and there is still no white case.

1. How can you not sell one of the basic colors?

2. How can you not sell a white case when you're selling a white/"starlight" phone?

3. How can you be Apple and not sell a white case?

I have a 12-version, but the camera cutout looks different...?

I agree that this is really surprising. It’s always been a standard color option. I always get white because it reminds me of 2001 Space Odessey. A real bummer.

Some people complained that the they turned yellow with wear. Although others didn't mind cleaning them to restore the white.

Interesting. I've been going with white cases for over a decade and never had that problem. Apple does white well. ...did?

I'm also sad and upset that they aren't offering a white case. They've offer one each year.

Is there any good third-party White silicone case that has MagSafe comparable to the Apple Case?

I thought it was off too - the white silicone has been a staple since day 1 of iPhone cases... an odd omission. the white case paired with a silver iPhone is iconic Apple.

Well this might be why there's no white case. They actually do yellow with current materials Apple uses. I had not noticed this until I compared my old 11 cases to a new one that arrived today. So they do yellow. But whats interesting is my 6 year old 6s case hardly yellows so maybe it cost too much to use the materials from preventing it from yellowing.

That does look suspiciously like there was maybe something seriously toxic in the 6s version they thought better of and removed in more recent cases, and the trade off is it doesn't stay as brilliant?
