I've been happily using my wi-fi since I purchased my iphone, both at home and at work. last night i noticed that my iphone was getting much hotter than normal (specifically in the top rear). i then noticed that i had no wi-fi connection. if i go into settings, the wi-fi line says "no wi-fi," so i don't even have the option of trying to fix it. i verified with other computers at home that my wi-fi network was still active. this morning i brought it to work... same result. i performed a reset of network settings, and then a reset of all settings. same results, no love on the wi-fi. anybody have this problem or an idea?

    replaced phone

i took my iphone to the genius bar at the apple store, they listened to my story and replaced it (they didn't need to verify apparently), she mentioned that she had seen this before. when they replaced it (with a brand new one... nice), she moved the sim card to the replacement unit.

i brought it back to work, and now i get the message "The SIM card installed in the iphone you are attempting to activate cannot be used." Grumble, grumble. i removed and reinstalled it to no avail. i guess i need to look at other threads now...

    replaced phone again

seems like the replacement phone had a problem with the interface to the sim card. so i received a third phone, and now everything seems to be working again.
